In 1973, Richard Reed, a San Francisco multiple-school owner and one of the founders of the American Taekwondo Association, laid the foundation of what would become ASF International. After years of frustration trying to run a school while dealing with the financial side of the business, he was looking to improve his net profits through better tuition collection. ASF pioneered the usage of EFT in the martial arts industry and revolutionized the way schools do business today.
